This page is for people who voted for him. Not to tell you that you were foolish — you were offered a specific deal and you took it, which is what voting is. This is what the public record says was delivered. Every figure names its source, and you are meant to check them.
A lot of political writing aimed at Trump voters is really written for people who already agree, so they can feel superior while reading it. That is worthless, and it is why almost nobody changes their mind about anything online.
So here is the actual position of this site. The things most people want — officials who cannot trade on inside information, a government that does not sell access, term limits, no one above the law — poll between 74 and 86 percent across both parties. Those are not liberal positions. They are the closest thing to a national consensus that exists, and they fail anyway, under both parties, because the people who would have to pass them are the people they would constrain.
If you voted for him because Washington was a racket that served itself, the record on this page does not prove you wrong about the problem. It documents what happened to the solution. A corruption unit cut from 36 lawyers to 2 is not draining a swamp, whatever else it is.
And the test we hold ourselves to is the same one we would ask of you. There is a page on this site listing the claims we threw out because they could not be verified — including some that would have helped the argument. If a site is not willing to show you what it cut, do not trust what it kept. That goes for this one too.
Four reforms polling 74–86% across both parties — with four figures we could not source, listed honestly.
Popular claims we cut because we could not verify them.
Nixon to now, same six columns, Republicans and Democrats side by side.
